A SPECIAL RECOVERY EVENT! Are You Going To Recovery Rock Fest?

Hello Recovery Friends!

Are you looking for a fun destination for your vacation this summer? Looking for something that is a clean and sober event? Then I think I have your “road trip” place to be! How about an evening of rock music? Meet others in recovery who will be there? Then pack your bags this August and head to Wilmington, NC for Recovery Rock Fest!


So I’m excited to share this wonderful recovery summer evening of rock music you won’t want to miss! It’s happening this August 29th, 2015.  Now I wish I could travel there myself for an evening of fantastic rock, but because I battle agoraphobia, so I no longer fly, or travel well by car. What I have done is become a Recovery Sponsor/Partner of this fabulous event, and so can you! If you are in recovery, work in the addiction and recovery fields, or you just want to do a good deed to support this awesome event and help others enjoy this sober event, YOU CAN!

And those are just a few of the bands that will be there for this summer Recovery Rock Fest! AND, a portion of the RRF proceeds will go to support  UNCW’s CRC Collegiate Recovery Program

Now here is more about how this event will be “paying it forward” to help others from addiction. Through the North Carolina Collegiate Recovery Program and why it’s so important for YOU to Sponsor this recovery event! It will help students get the treatment they need from addiction.

There are many resources at UNCW for students in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, gambling addiction, and those affected by other people’s addiction.On this page, you will find information about campus resources, area 12 step meetings, and helpful links for those looking for treatment and wanting to know more about addiction

CROSSROADS can refer you to campus and community resources, help you plan for your transition into UNCW, connect you to other students in recovery to build your network of support. CROSSROADS can also guide you in dealing with the institutional policies of UNCW, such as on-campus living, your academic affairs contacts, or financial issues .Call our office at 910.962.4136 or stop by either of our offices in DePaolo Hall #2105 or Student Recreation Center #104.

The Hundley Health Education Center in the Student Recreation Center (Room 104) is open Tuesday evenings during the school year as a space for CRC members to hang out, study, and get to know one another.
