Young People, God Loves You – Do Not Gamble with Your Life… My Guest, Uri,

I wanted to share this post with you as it gives a positive vibe and gives us HOPE that addicted gambling can be treated and you can life without it! I am proof of that and so is a new friend, Uri and sharing of his new recovery from gambling.

Gambling ruined 4 years of  Uri’s life.

“However my recovery has been slow and I am still learning more about my real true self every day. For this purpose, I have developed a platform, https://gambling-addictions.com/, where you can find sincere advice from ex-addicts and also share your story to reach out for help.”

My name is Uri and I’m 40 years old head chef with 20 years of experience. I have been a compulsive gambler last three years. If you’ve heard of a famous spoon bender Uri Keller, it’s not me!

Just recently I hit a rock bottom: I admitted to myself that I have a gambling problem and a debt that I can’t return. For the first time, in a very long time, I wanted to put an end to this nightmare. I have woken up, and now I despise gambling industry and the ways these companies are ruining people’s lives.

I think the problem is not that problem gamblers are not offered help or solution, but addicts like me are not used to asking for help or admitting that we have a problem. Seeking help has been the biggest turning point in my life. When I realized I didn’t have to deal with this addiction alone, it got so much easier.

I know that it’s gonna be a bumpy ride, but I believe this story will have a happy ending. I would like to share my journey to recovery, because I hope my story can help you. Maybe you are a gambler yourself and don’t know how to stop, maybe your partner is going through this addiction, or you are just curious to read how someone’s life is. Whatever may be the reason, I am glad you are here.

In my blog posts, I want to speak more about things that don’t get spoken about often enough. For example, I want to talk about how the real victims of gambling addiction are not us, the gamblers, but our partners and families. I will tell you the truth about how it all started, how I told my fiancé I have a gambling problem, how she reacted, if we broke up, if I went for the therapy and what helped me. I will share interviews with psychologists and other gamblers too.

I would also like you to share your story and thoughts too, which you can do in the Comments section below every story I post. Let’s go through the journey to recovery together! You can follow the updates of my journey every Friday, when I will be uploading new “episode” of my journey to recovery. https://gambling-addictions.com/

Gambling Addictions

Three card poker, slot machine games, roulette, blackjack, sports betting, bingo… there are so many games available for persons to participate in, not just for entertainment but many are also involved in gambling. These games can be accessed not only at casinos but also online. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose and the sad reality is this activity can become addictive like a drug and many struggle to break free from this addiction.

Gambling has the potential to ruin your life. You probably chose to participate in this activity out of curiosity or peer pressure but I can tell you that it has the potential to destroy you emotionally, physically, financially and spiritually. I have been there and I lost everything that I held dear to me and I thank God that He was able to deliver me and has equipped me with the ability to use my experience to…
