  1. You feel that familiar urge to gamble and just pause. Than, you think “what does this urge mean? It means if I act on it and gamble then I will lose all the money I can get my hands on. I will lose immediately, or very soon, or in a little while but regardless, I will lose.
I know that from all my history.

That is a 100% guarantee. Because, I am powerless over my gambling addiction. Period.

So, instead I will not gamble today. I will go to a GA meeting, go work out, read, write, visit a friend, help another person who needs me or do anything legal besides gambling.

I will accept the pain of living with the urge to gamble. I will defeat that urge each time it happens because I cannot give in to it and let it continue to destroy me.

I will be a winner one day at a time that I do not gamble. I will continue to be a loser with each bet I make.
    Choose to win.

    • Very well said, David! And I agree with you as that is all I got from addicted gambling, NO MONEY. Well, it cost me more than wasted money, it almost cost me my life twice. Within Gods Mercy and Grace I am still here to be able to pass on my life lessons learned from this detour of addiction in my life and share hope. It is time those with a gambling problem KNOW they don’t have to suffer in silence any longer … Cat
